About North Devon FOODfest

North Devon FOODfest is Barnstaple's biggest celebration of food and drink, now in its seventh year. Local chefs, independent restaurants, street food traders and artisan producers fill the town's Victorian Pannier Market, with around 50 exhibitors serving everything from BBQ to cheese, bakes, sauces and preserves.

Locally made ales, ciders, wines and spirits round things off, and there are cooking demos through the day. The market hall dates from 1855 and was beautifully refurbished in 2023, making a bright, accessible setting for a family-friendly day out. Entry is free.
